Job Summary

Lead and oversee end-to-end transport operations, ensuring operational KPIs are met while optimizing costs through effective planning and continuous improvement initiative

Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day transportation activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.

- Develop transport plans and optimize delivery routes to maximize vehicle utilization and operational efficiency.

- Monitor daily dispatch, delivery schedules, and transport performance.

- Resolve operational issues and implement contingency plans to minimize service disruptions.

- Ensure transportation services meet customer expectations and business requirements.

Fleet Vendor Management

- Oversee the performance and maintenance of company-owned and outsourced transport fleets.

- Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained, roadworthy, licensed, and compliant with legal requirements.

- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and transport contractors to ensure service quality and cost efficiency.

- Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs to improve overall fleet performance.

Cost Control Performance Management

- Develop and manage the transportation budget.

- Identify and implement initiatives to reduce transportation costs while maintaining service standards.





- Monitor and report key operational and financial KPIs.

- Analyze transport data and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Leadership Team Development

- Lead, coach, and develop transport supervisors, planners, dispatchers, and drivers.

- Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.

- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

- Ensure sufficient manpower planning to support business operations.

Safety, Compliance Quality

- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.

- Promote protected driving practices and investigate transport incidents or accidents.

- Ensure all transportation records and documentation are accurate and up to date.

- Support internal and external audits related to transportation operations.

Continuous Improvement

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transport efficiency, customer service, and cost performance.

- Identify opportunities to improve transport processes through technology, automation, and best practices.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth and operational excellence.
