Reporting To - Project Manager / HOD

Job Purpose

Responsible for the testing, commissioning, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and servicing of mechanical MEP systems at project sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Testing & Commissioning
- Conduct testing, commissioning, and performance checks of mechanical equipment Chillers, Pumps AHU etc..
- Assist in equipment start-up, balancing, troubleshooting, and performance verification.
- Prepare testing and commissioning reports and maintain relevant records.
- Identify technical issues during commissioning and coordinate corrective actions.
- Service & Maintenance
- Attend breakdowns, service calls, and maintenance requirements at project sites.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement appropriate corrective measures.
- Ensure minimum equipment downtime through timely service and troubleshooting.
- Site Coordination
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Electrical Engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, civil, plumbing, and other MEP services.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical updates regarding service and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with vendors and equipment suppliers for technical support whenever required.
- Troubleshooting & Technical Support
- Investigate mechanical system failures and provide effective technical solutions.




- Analyse equipment performance and identify recurring faults.
- Provide technical support to site teams during installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Maintain service history and records of major equipment.
- Quality & Safety
- Ensure all mechanical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality standards.
- Follow company HSE policies and ensure safe working practices at site.
- Conduct inspections and identify quality issues during installation and servicing.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe handling of tools and equipment.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily/weekly service and maintenance reports.
- Maintain equipment inspection, testing, commissioning, and maintenance records.
- Prepare material requirements, service reports, checklists, and snag lists.
- Maintain records of breakdowns, repairs, replacement parts, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Material & Tools Management
- Identify required spare parts, tools, consumables, and materials for service activities.
- Coordinate with stores/procurement teams for timely availability of materials.
- Ensure proper handling and utilization of tools, equipment, and company assets.

Educational Qualification Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.

Experience

10–15 years of experience in Mechanical MEP Projects, HVAC, installation, testing & commissioning, service, maintenance, or facility/project engineering.
