Role Description This full-time, in office Maintenance Engineer role is based in Chennai and focuses on ensuring reliable and safe operation of equipment and systems within the facility.

The Maintenance

Engineer will perform routine inspections, diagnose issues, and carry out maintenance and repair activities on mechanical and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities include planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules, coordinating with operations and production teams to minimize downtime, and maintaining accurate maintenance records. The role also involves identifying improvement opportunities, implementing corrective actions, and supporting compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external service providers to resolve technical problems and optimize equipment performance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair to troubleshoot, service, and restore equipment to optimal working condition.
- Candidates should possess solid Maintenance Engineering skills to analyze failures, propose technical solutions, and support continuous improvement of maintenance processes.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Preventive Maintenance to develop, implement, and refine scheduled maintenance plans that reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Maintenance skills to maintain, inspect, and repair electrical systems, panels, and components safely and effectively.
- Relevant engineering diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline, with experience in industrial, manufacturing, or facilities maintenance.
- Ability to read technical drawings, use diagnostic tools, and work with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Solid attention to safety, adherence to standard operating procedures, and familiarity with applicable codes and regulations.
- Effective communication, problem-solving abilities, and willingness to work in shifts or respond to urgent maintenance needs when required.
