Position: Maintenance Coordinator

Job Summary

RTC BPM Private Limited is looking for a responsible and technically knowledgeable Maintenance Coordinator to support maintenance operations for heavy-duty trucks and trailers in the US trucking industry.

The role involves coordinating preventive maintenance, tracking mechanical issues, communicating with repair shops and vendors, monitoring repair costs, and minimizing vehicle downtime to ensure smooth fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintenance Coordination: Monitor truck and trailer maintenance requirements, including routine servicing, repairs, and mechanical issues.
- Preventive Maintenance: Track scheduled maintenance and service intervals to help prevent unexpected breakdowns.
- Breakdown Management: Coordinate with drivers, repair shops, and vendors to arrange timely inspections and repairs.
- Repair Estimates and Costs: Obtain and review repair estimates, invoices, and maintenance expenses for accuracy and cost control.
- Vendor Coordination: Communicate with US-based repair shops, dealerships, tire shops, and other maintenance service providers.
- Downtime Management: Follow up on ongoing repairs and estimated completion times to reduce vehicle downtime.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair histories, service schedules, and expense reports.
- Communication and Escalation:



Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams and promptly escalate major mechanical issues or delays.

Qualifications and Skills
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering preferred.
- Strong technical understanding of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, engines, tires, brakes, and vehicle maintenance.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, breakdown troubleshooting, and repair processes.
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal, for coordinating with US-based vendors and drivers.
- Basic computer skills, including email, Excel spreadsheets, documentation, and online systems.
- Strong follow-up, problem-solving, coordination, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple maintenance issues and prioritize urgent repairs.

Experience Candidates with relevant experience in fleet maintenance, automobile workshops, heavy-vehicle maintenance, or trucking operations are preferred. Fresh graduates with strong mechanical fundamentals and a willingness to learn may also be considered.
