- Working knowledge of COBOL, JCL, IMS and DB2
- Experience in writing and executing test cases and reporting defects
- Experience in healthcare claims testing
- Understanding claims requirements and identifying test scenarios for mainframe applications.
- Creating and executing test cases for batch and online claims processing.
- Preparing claims test data in DB2 and IMS.
- Running JCL batch jobs and validating the output, including claim adjudication and payment results.
- Collaborating with the team and working towards achieving the release goals.
- Learning current tools, methodologies and claims domain knowledge, and adopting best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand claims requirements and prepare test cases as per the test plan.
- Execute test cases for mainframe batch and online claims applications.
- Validate claims data in DB2 and IMS databases and verify results.
- Report defects and track them to closure.
- Perform testing for releases and fixes.
- Provide test status updates to the Test Lead.
- Raise risks and issues to the Test Lead as needed
