Role & responsibilities

Understand the necessary production plan received from PPC and translate the same to Casting Plan for LPDC

¢ Ensure, in coordination with Quality Control and Quality Systems function, that the quality of the products meet the customer demands

¢ Identify & implement initiatives/action steps to enhance the die casting function – die loading, die life monitoring, rejection rate etc.

¢ Implement efficient and effective internal control systems, to keep track of the performance of equipments and take necessary actions to improve efficiency of die-casting in coordination with Maintenance Head

¢ Prepare daily and monthly MIS reports to match actual performance vis--vis the targets and provide action steps to minimize variance

¢ Plan & incorporate R&D; modifications & recent product initiatives in production process

¢ Minimize scraps at various stages of manufacturing process

¢ Lead implementation of key process improvement initiatives to be taken-up (such as ISO, TPM, TQM etc) from time to time in the die casting function

¢ Take overall responsibility to ensure adherence to Safety standards by all employees and establish zero accident in the die-casting function
