- We are looking for an experienced BMC Helix Control-M SaaS professional with 56 years of experience in Control-M job scheduling, production support, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

- The candidate will be responsible for providing L2 support, managing business-critical workflows, resolving job failures, and coordinating with L3 teams, application teams, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

- Provide L2 production support for BMC Helix Control-M SaaS environments.

- Support job migration, modification, decommissioning, and operational requests across DEV, QA/UAT, and Production environments.

- Monitor scheduled workflows and jobs and ensure timely completion within defined SLAs.

- Analyze and troubleshoot job failures, long-running jobs, jobs in Waiting/Held/Executing states, and dependency-related issues.

- Perform Control-M job operations

- Investigate recurring job failures and identify known-error patterns to reduce repetitive incidents.

- Coordinate with L3, application SMEs, infrastructure teams, database teams, and other technical teams for issue resolution.

- Manage incidents, service requests, and change requests related to Control-M through ServiceNow.

- Validate job schedules, calendars, conditions, resources, dependencies, variables, and alerts.

- Participate in production deployments and planned maintenance activities.

- Perform post-deployment validation and monitor critical workflows after changes.





- Maintain and update SOPs, runbooks, knowledge articles, and troubleshooting documents.

- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to reduce manual operational activities.

- Participate in incident reviews, problem management, and root-cause analysis.

- Prepare operational reports and metrics related to incidents, SRs, job failures, SLA performance, and workload.

- Participate in 24x7 support / on-call rotation, if required.

Experience & Expectations

- 5–6 years of hands-on experience with BMC Control-M.

- Experience in production monitoring and L2 troubleshooting.

- Good understanding of SLA-based job monitoring and escalation.

- Experience with ServiceNow / ITSM processes.

- Experience working with Production, UAT/QA, and Development environments.

- Ability to work independently in a production support environment.

- Ability to coordinate with multiple technical teams and stakeholders.

- Robust ownership and accountability for assigned issues.

- Ability to work under pressure during critical production incidents.

- Rotational shift including night shift

Good to Have

- Knowledge of Control-M Automation API / CLI.

- Basic scripting knowledge such as Shell, PowerShell, or Python

- Knowledge of GitHub/GitHub Actions or other CI/CD tools.

- Experience implementing Control-M automation and operational improvements.
