Purpose of the Role

To drive and facilitate transport, logistics & dispatch management of the ready goods across country.

Job Responsibility

Process Orientation

· Should possess a strategic perspective and understanding of evolving Outbound Logistics function and its implications for the Company, Group, as well as national and international trends.

· Drive the Outbound Logistics function agenda in the Plant through close co-working guidance from corporate policies, initiatives, guidelines, milestones and targets.

· Own the responsibility of Outbound Logistics to set Plant and Regions on path of future-ready planet and attain leadership in the region.

· Build skills and competencies of Plant and RSO’s Leadership and personnel on all facets and work closely with Plant Leadership to align with Company goals that in turn align with Group and national sustainability agenda.

· Proactively define practices that go beyond compliance while working closely with Internal Stake Holders, Service providers, Dealerships.

Logistics and Yard Management

· Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations with internal stake holders, Logistics service providers, dealers and customers

· Implement logistics principles, policies and processes to improve operational and financial performances

· Monitor delivery performances from Invoice to delivery and logistics cost for both internal and external services

· Ensure carriers compliance with company policies or procedures for vehicle transit or delivery

· Review impact of logistics changes in the form of routing, transportation modes or carriers and inform all stake holders

Transport Planning

· Managing Daily Load allocation to Transporters as per SOB plan

· Maximise daily planning to achieve daily dispatch target

· Co-ordination with Plant team for availability of cars for load planning

· Monitoring Plan vs Actual performance on weekly basis and analyse failures.

· Monitoring fleet/Rake availability based on plan to meet daily requirements.

Despatch Management

· Co-ordination with transporters for availability of Fleet and drivers.





· Planning and monitoring of Physical marching of vehicles to ensure same day marching.

· Portal Enroute monitoring to ensure delivery within standard transit time.

· Managing part loads execution at minimal cost.

· Managing Combination loads from various hubs to optimize freight utilization

LSP Performance Management

· Analysis of transit time, delivery performance and defect free delivery performance of transporters as per targets.

· Counselling Transporters to enhance monthly performance to achieve the delivery and quality performance.

· Analysis of exceptional cases affecting targets and recommending penalty.

· Monitoring and analysis of POD.

· Ensure timely payment disbursement to all service providers as per payment terms

Freight and Route Management

· Route Analysis and mapping of shortest feasible alternate routes to optimize freight and enhance delivery performance.

· Review of load factors to optimize Carrier capacity and optimum utilization of freight.

· Analysis and comparison of freight and distances within organization and other OEM’s.

· Monitoring Freight revision as per freight policy.

· Co-ordinating for Insurance claims for Enroute accident and damaged vehicles

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

- BE OR
- MBA/PGDBA

Experience

12-18 years’ Experience in Outbound Logistics

Language: English, Hindi and Optional Marathi
