Junior Salesforce Manual QA Engineer

Location: Bengaluru / hybrid.

Experience: 2 to 3 years in QA

Working hours: Shift must overlap US Eastern business hours — approximately 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST

About the role: We are looking for a Junior Salesforce Manual QA Engineer with 2–3 years of QA experience and hands-on exposure to Salesforce testing. You will work with the QA team to validate Salesforce functionality, execute test cases, identify defects, and support release activities.

The ideal candidate should have a positive understanding of manual testing fundamentals, Salesforce configuration, and defect management. Hands-on experience with Xray Test Management in Jira is preferred, as the team uses Xray to manage test cases and test execution.

This is a hands-on delivery role that requires attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers and business stakeholders.

What you'll do:

- Analyze user stories and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios, edge cases, and gaps in requirements.
- Design, write, and maintain manual test cases and test suites in X-ray, linked to Jira stories for full traceability.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing across Salesforce sandboxes and production.
- Validate Salesforce configuration and customization objects, fields, page layouts, flows, validation rules, permission sets, profiles, and sharing rules.




- Test integrations between Salesforce and connected systems, checking data flows, field mappings, and error handling.
- Log clear, reproducible defects with appropriate severity and priority; drive them to closure and verify fixes.
- Maintain and grow the regression suite so it stays relevant release over release.
- Support UAT with business stakeholders and help triage what comes out of it.
- Report execution progress and coverage for your area and raise risks early.
- Keep test documentation current so anyone on the team can pick up your area cleanly.

What you'll bring:

- Strong knowledge of QA processes and methodologies, with a primary focus on manual testing test case design, execution, defect lifecycle management, and regression strategy.
- Hands-on experience with X-ray’s the test management tool: building test plans and test sets, executing test runs, and managing requirement-to-test traceability in Jira.
- Salesforce experience practical understanding of the platform and confidence testing standard and custom functionality.
- A track record of joining projects mid-flight and becoming productive quickly.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the judgment to know what's worth testing.
- Clear written and verbal English able to write a defect a developer can act on without a follow-up call.
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum and adapting to shifting priorities.
