Job Summary

Noesis Service Consultant is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to assist in the design, development, and coordination of plumbing and firefighting systems for building-services projects. The candidate will work closely with senior engineers to prepare drawings, perform basic calculations, and ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in designing water supply, drainage, soil and waste, rainwater, and stormwater systems.
- Support the preparation of firefighting layouts, sprinkler systems, hydrant networks, and fire pump room layouts.
- Assist with hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, equipment selection, and preparation of BOQs.
- Prepare, modify, and revise plumbing and firefighting drawings.
- Coordinate layouts with architectural, structural, electrical, and HVAC services.
- Incorporate design changes and assist senior engineers in resolving technical issues.
- Maintain design documentation and ensure drawings comply with project specifications and applicable codes.
- Support interdisciplinary design coordination and clash resolution.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned drawings and design deliverables.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Basic understanding of plumbing and firefighting design for building projects.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret engineering and architectural drawings.




- Basic understanding of pipe sizing, hydraulic calculations, and firefighting systems.
- Familiarity with applicable IS standards, NBC requirements, and relevant plumbing and fire safety codes.
- Positive analytical, documentation, communication, and coordination skills.

Specific Industry Requirements Target Companies / Industry Background:

- Nirmantu: Candidates with relevant exposure to plumbing, firefighting, or MEP building-services design.
- MAK: Candidates with experience or training in mechanical building services, plumbing design, firefighting systems, or MEP coordination.
- MEP Design Consultancies: Candidates with practical exposure to plumbing and firefighting design for residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, or other building projects.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Freshers with relevant technical knowledge or candidates with initial experience in MEP design consultancy.
- Candidates with hands-on experience preparing plumbing and firefighting layouts using AutoCAD.
- Exposure to water supply, drainage, sprinkler, hydrant, and fire protection systems.
- Understanding of coordination between plumbing, firefighting, HVAC, electrical, architectural, and structural disciplines.
- Candidates interested in developing their careers in MEP design and building-services consultancy.

Shortlisting Note: Prioritise candidates with plumbing and firefighting design exposure rather than profiles focused exclusively on site supervision, maintenance, or installation. Candidates from Nirmantu and MAK should be evaluated based on their actual project responsibilities and relevant technical skills. Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
