About Us :-

We are a healthcare technology company supporting virtual care programmes across the United States. Reliable IT operations, secure access, and careful handling of company and healthcare information are essential to our day-to-day work.

Role Summary

We are looking for 5-8 years experienced, hands-on IT Systems Administrator to support employees and day-to-day IT operations from India, primarily during U.S.-aligned working hours. The role combines Microsoft 365 administration, user support, onboarding and offboarding, with a critical focus on Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Azure virtual machine operations. The successful candidate should be able to provision VMs, troubleshoot AVD and remote access issues, and resolve user access and connectivity problems.

AWS knowledge is useful at a foundational or support level;

strong practical Azure and AVD skills are the priority.

Critical Skill Area: Microsoft Azure & Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)

Hands-on Azure and AVD experience is the most important technical requirement. The candidate should be able to carry out routine administration and first-/second-level troubleshooting, follow change and security procedures, document actions, and escalate complex infrastructure issues with helpful diagnostic details.

- Provision new Azure virtual machines using approved images and sizing; select the correct subscription, resource

group, region, VM size, disk configuration, and network settings according to documented requirements.
- Start, stop, restart, and check the health/status of Azure VMs; identify common causes of a VM being unavailable.
- Support AVD user access: validate user/group assignment, application group or desktop assignment, host pool

association, and relevant access prerequisites.
- Troubleshoot AVD sign-in and connection problems, including users unable to see desktops/apps, failed connections,

session launch errors, profile-loading issues, and sessions that are disconnected or unresponsive.
- Perform initial checks on session hosts: availability, registration/health status, capacity, resource utilisation, and

whether the host is accepting connections; escalate host-pool or service-level issues when needed.
- Investigate remote access issues involving user permissions, Entra ID sign-in, MFA, network reachability, DNS, VPN

where applicable, and RDP/AVD client configuration.
- Review Azure VM and AVD diagnostic information, activity logs, monitoring signals, and relevant error messages to

gather evidence before escalating.
- Support AVD/RDP onboarding and offboarding, including granting and removing approved access and validating that

changes have taken effect.
- Assist with Windows VM maintenance such as routine updates, reboot coordination, disk-space checks, basic

performance troubleshooting, and post-maintenance validation, following change approvals.
- Understand resource groups, virtual networks/subnets, network security groups (NSGs), managed disks,

snapshots/images, Azure Monitor,

and Azure Backup; make changes only within approved permissions and procedures.
- Follow secure-access practices: never expose RDP broadly to the internet, do not bypass access controls, and

escalate suspected security incidents or unauthorised access immediately.
- Maintain clear ticket notes covering the issue, checks performed, findings, actions taken, outcome, and any escalation

or follow-up required. Microsoft 365 & User Administration

- Handle routine Microsoft 365 administration for user accounts, licences, Outlook/Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive,

and SharePoint access.
- Troubleshoot common sign-in, password/MFA, mailbox, Teams, and permissions issues; recognise when an issue

requires escalation.
- Create/configure user accounts and access during onboarding; disable accounts, remove licences, and revoke access

during offboarding, following approved checklists.
- Manage basic group membership, distribution list membership, shared mailbox access, and other approved access

requests.
- Verify approvals before granting access or changing user accounts, licences, groups, or shared resources.

User Support, Tickets & IT Operations

- Own and progress assigned support tickets for U.S.-based users, prioritising by business impact and urgency.
- Acknowledge requests, communicate progress clearly, set realistic expectations, and update tickets before closure.
- Resolve common Windows, laptop, peripheral, connectivity, application, and account-access issues; escalate issues

outside the role's permissions or expertise.
- Maintain accurate laptop and accessory inventory and asset assignment/acknowledgement records.
- Follow documented onboarding/offboarding checklists and record completion.
- Document repeat incidents and troubleshooting steps so the team can resolve similar issues consistently.

AWS — Foundational / Secondary Support AWS is a secondary skill area rather than the primary ownership requirement. The candidate should have basic familiarity with the AWS console and be able to assist with straightforward support checks under guidance.

- Understand the purpose of IAM users/roles and permissions, EC2 instances, security groups, and S3 buckets.
- Perform basic status and access checks, gather troubleshooting information, and escalate AWS issues that require

deeper administration.
- Follow least-privilege and approval requirements; do not make unapproved changes to production resources or

permissions. Security, Documentation & Escalation

- Follow access approval processes, least-privilege principles, MFA requirements, and company security procedures.
- Handle company and healthcare-related information carefully; do not include sensitive information in unauthorised

tools or ticket notes.
- Escalate critical incidents, suspected security issues, repeated failures, or changes with production impact promptly.
- Maintain useful documentation for VM provisioning, AVD access, common connection issues, onboarding/offboarding,

and recurring incidents. Working Hours & Support Coverage

This is an India-based role. The employee will primarily work U.S.-aligned hours to support the company's users and IT operations. Flexibility is required to provide support during India business hours when a critical incident or urgent business requirement makes it necessary. India-hours support is for critical needs and is not the routine working schedule.

Must-Have Skills

- Practical hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD); this is the critical technical

requirement.
- Ability to provision Azure VMs and troubleshoot common VM availability, AVD sign-in, desktop/application access,

session, and connectivity issues.
- Working understanding of Azure subscriptions, resource groups, VM sizing/disks, virtual networks, NSGs, and basic

Azure monitoring/logs.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 user administration and common Outlook, Teams, account, licence, and

access issues.
- Experience handling user support tickets and following structured onboarding/offboarding processes.
- Clear written and spoken communication, reliable ticket updates, good documentation, and willingness to escalate

appropriately.
- Based in India and available to work primarily U.S.-aligned hours, with flexibility to support critical incidents during

India business hours.

Nice to Have

- Basic AWS exposure, especially IAM, EC2, security groups, and S3.
- Experience with Windows Server, RDP, Entra ID, MFA, VPN, DNS, and networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with PowerShell or basic scripting for troubleshooting and repetitive tasks.
- Experience with Freshdesk or another ticketing/ITSM platform.
- Exposure to endpoint security, BitLocker, device inventory, or healthcare/regulatory environments.

What Success Looks Like

- Routine Azure VM and AVD requests are handled accurately, securely, and with appropriate documentation.
- AVD access and connection issues are investigated systematically, resolved where within scope, and escalated with

useful evidence when needed.
- user tickets handled during U.S.-aligned working hours receive timely updates and are progressed according to urgency and agreed service expectations.
- Onboarding and offboarding tasks are completed using approved checklists, with access changes recorded.
- Critical incidents are escalated promptly, and the employee can provide critical India-hours support when required.

Suggested Experience Level Experience level: Open to candidates with relevant hands-on IT administration and systems support experience.

Demonstrable practical Azure and AVD capability is essential; the role title and seniority can be aligned to the candidate's depth of experience.
