Job Summary

We are looking for a Non-Motor Underwriter with 1–2 years of experience in the General Insurance industry. The candidate will be responsible for assisting in risk assessment, processing insurance proposals, obtaining quotations from insurance companies, and coordinating for policy issuance.

Key Responsibilities

· Review and process non-motor insurance proposals and related documents.

· Assist in underwriting risks for Fire, Property, Marine, Engineering, Liability, and other non-motor insurance products.

· Check proposal forms, risk details, and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.

· Coordinate with insurance companies to obtain quotations, premium rates, and policy terms.

· Follow up with insurers for pending quotations and policy issuance.

· Review policy documents, endorsements, exclusions, and other terms and conditions.

· Coordinate with the sales and operations teams to ensure timely processing of insurance cases.

· Maintain underwriting records, reports, and documentation.

· Assist in policy renewals and endorsement requests.

· Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable underwriting guidelines.





Required Skills and Qualifications

· Graduate in any discipline; an insurance-related qualification will be an advantage.

· 1–2 years of experience in Non-Motor Underwriting or General Insurance.

· Basic knowledge of Fire, Property, Marine, Engineering, or Liability insurance.

· Understanding of insurance policy terms, premium calculations, and underwriting documentation.

· Good communication, coordination, and analytical skills.

· Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.

· Attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Preferred Candidate Profile

· Candidates with experience in an insurance company or insurance broking firm will be preferred.

· Fresh knowledge of commercial insurance products and underwriting procedures is desirable.

· Candidates should be comfortable coordinating with insurance companies and internal teams.
