Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Drupal Architect to design, develop, and lead scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise web applications and content management solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Drupal architecture, PHP, custom module development, system integrations, and cloud-based deployments, along with the ability to lead technical teams and engage with business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance Drupal-based enterprise solutions.
- Define end-to-end technical architecture, solution design, coding standards, and development best practices.
- Lead Drupal development, including custom module development, theme development, configuration management, and third-party integrations.
- Design and manage Drupal multisite implementations and content management platforms.
- Drive Drupal upgrades, platform modernization, migration, and performance optimization initiatives.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and other services with enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with UI/UX, frontend, backend, QA, DevOps, and business teams to deliver quality solutions.
- Implement security best practices, caching strategies, database optimization, and application performance improvements.
- Oversee code reviews, technical documentation, deployment planning, and production issue resolution.
- Mentor developers and provide technical guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.

Mandatory Skills :

- 10 - 12 years of overall IT experience, with strong hands-on experience in Drupal development and architecture.
- Expertise in Drupal 9/10, with exposure to Drupal 11 preferred.




- Strong proficiency in PHP, object-oriented programming, and Symfony components.
- Experience in Drupal custom module development, theming, hooks, plugins, and APIs.
- Strong knowledge of Drupal architecture, content types, entities, Views, configuration management, and Composer.
- Experience with REST APIs, third-party integrations, and enterprise application integration.
- Good understanding of MySQL or PostgreSQL, database design, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and automated testing.
- Strong understanding of application security, scalability, caching, and performance tuning.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.

Positive-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with Acquia Cloud, Acquia Site Factory, or other enterprise Drupal hosting platforms.
- Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud environments.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation.
- Knowledge of Redis, Varnish, Elasticsearch, or Apache Solr.
- Experience with headless or decoupled Drupal using JSON or GraphQL.
- Exposure to React.js, Angular, or other modern frontend technologies.
- Experience with Drupal 7-to-10/11 migration and modernization projects.
- Acquia Drupal certifications.

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
