Position: Senior Design Engineer / Design Engineer - Water Infrastructure

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Water Infrastructure Design Engineer to support the planning, design, and execution of water supply, sewerage, and storm water network projects. The candidate will be responsible for hydraulic design, network analysis, preparation of engineering deliverables, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong experience in Storm Water, Water Supply, and Drainage Network Engineering.
- Proficiency in hydraulic design and network analysis.
- Hands-on experience with design software such as:

- WaterCAD

- SewerGEMS

- StormCAD
- Other relevant 3D engineering design tools
- Sound knowledge of applicable design codes, standards, and engineering practices.
- Experience in preparation of technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
- Positive coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare Design Basis Reports (DBR) and detailed engineering calculations.
- Carry out hydraulic design and analysis in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Perform demand assessment, flow calculations, and sizing of pipelines, tanks, pumps,



and associated equipment.
- Develop and validate water supply, sewerage, and storm water network models using engineering software.
- Prepare engineering layouts, schematics, and Good for Construction (GFC) drawings.
- Support preparation of cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documentation.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and technical clarification processes.
- Conduct technical evaluation of vendor and contractor bids.
- Review vendor data, drawings, and technical submissions.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Ensure compliance with company quality processes, project schedules, and deliverable accuracy.
- Provide technical guidance and support during project execution.

Desired Candidate Profile
- BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- 8-12 years of experience in design and engineering of water supply, sewerage, and storm water infrastructure projects.
- Strong expertise in hydraulic modeling and network design software.
- Experience in infrastructure, urban development, industrial, or municipal water projects.
- Ability to manage multiple project deliverables within strict timelines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Preferred: Experience in large-scale municipal, industrial, smart city, or infrastructure development projects.
