About the company

Our client is a respected, promoter-led Indian OEM in industrial capital equipment. It has three decades of engineering heritage, technology developed in-house, and installations in more than 20 countries. Its customers include some of India’s largest steel, cement and process companies.

The company plans to grow three to four times over the next five to six years by adding new products, building international business and strengthening its leadership team. This role sits at the centre of that plan.

About the role

This is a business role, not an academic one. You will own technology as a source of revenue: improving today’s products, closing gaps in the current portfolio, and building the next product platform.

Key responsibilities

- Bring application engineering, design, engineering, and electrical and instrumentation under one technology leadership
- Own the product end to end, from concept to commissioning
- Build the product roadmap and a disciplined new product development process
- Set up an R&D; capability that anticipates where the market is going
- Find,



evaluate and build technology partnerships, licences, JVs and acquisitions in India and abroad
- Support the sales team on complex, high-value applications where technical credibility wins the order

What you bring

- 18+ years in industrial capital equipment, with senior leadership of technology or product development
- Experience in industrial filtration, thermal, process or allied engineering equipment
- At least one recent product taken from concept to market
- Credibility with customers on difficult applications
- An active network of technology partners, consultants and industry experts
- Commercial instinct: you think in orders, margins and market share as well as designs

Good to have

- European or global exposure
- Experience of licensing, technology transfer or joint ventures
