ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Prime LifeSpace Consultancy is hiring a senior Chartered Accountant to lead finance and accounts across our business interests in real estate development, consultancy, property technology and new investment initiatives.

This is a group-wide finance leadership opportunity with direct access to the promoters and responsibility for strengthening financial management across multiple entities and projects.

We are looking for a commercially minded, hands-on finance leader who can take ownership of accounting, taxation, cash flow, project finance, budgeting, reporting and financial controls while helping management evaluate growth opportunities.

The role will also support our proposed Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) initiative, working with external legal, regulatory, tax and fund specialists as the initiative develops.

You will lead the existing accounting function, assess team requirements and help recruit additional finance and accounts professionals where required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Group Finance Leadership
- Take ownership of finance and accounts across group entities, businesses and development projects. Act as the principal finance partner to the promoters on business performance, funding requirements, capital allocation and financial risks. Establish clear financial reporting, approval processes and accountability across entities. Prepare annual budgets, business plans and rolling forecasts. Evaluate the financial implications of new ventures, investments, joint ventures and expansion opportunities. Present clear recommendations to management, supported by reliable financial information.
- Accounting, Financial Reporting and Audit
- Oversee accurate books of accounts, ledger scrutiny, reconciliations and timely monthly and annual closing. Review entity-level financial statements and prepare consolidated management reporting, with statutory consolidation where applicable. Strengthen accounting policies and ensure consistent treatment of transactions across entities. Oversee receivables, payables, fixed assets, advances, intercompany balances and related-party transactions. Coordinate statutory audits, tax audits and other applicable reviews with external professionals. Resolve audit observations and ensure supporting records are complete and readily available. Establish a monthly MIS covering profitability, cash flow, outstanding liabilities, collections, budgets and significant financial risks.
- Real Estate and Project Finance
- Manage project-wise budgets, cash flow forecasts, cost tracking and profitability analysis. Monitor construction expenditure, contractor payments, procurement commitments and cost-to-complete estimates. Work with project, sales and management teams to align expenditure with collections and funding availability. Track customer receivables, collection schedules, overdue payments, cancellations, refunds and channel partner payouts. Review the financial implications of pricing, payment plans, discounts and sales commitments. Oversee applicable RERA-related financial reporting, project account controls and coordination of required certifications. Assess project feasibility, joint venture economics and funding structures. Identify potential funding gaps and cost overruns early, with practical recommendations for management.
- Cash Flow, Treasury and Banking
- Establish and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast alongside longer-term funding plans.

Plan payments across statutory obligations, employees, lenders, contractors, vendors and operating requirements. Manage working capital and maintain visibility over cash availability across entities. Lead banking relationships and coordinate financing proposals, renewals and lender information requirements. Support debt fundraising, refinancing and negotiations on financing terms. Monitor loan obligations, repayment schedules, security requirements and financial covenants. Ensure intercompany funding and transfers are appropriately reviewed, documented and approved.
- Taxation and Statutory Compliance
- Own the compliance calendar and ensure timely, accurate GST, TDS, income tax and other applicable filings and payments. Review GST reconciliations, input tax credit positions and the tax treatment of relevant transactions. Supervise return preparation and filing by internal staff or external professionals. Coordinate assessments, notices, queries and proceedings with appropriate advisers. Review tax implications of development arrangements, consultancy income, technology activities and new business initiatives. Coordinate with the company secretary and other professionals on applicable corporate filings and governance requirements. Keep management informed of material exposures, unresolved issues and approaching deadlines.
- Proposed AIF and Investment Initiatives
- Support management in evaluating the financial and operational requirements of the proposed AIF. Coordinate with specialist advisers on fund structure, tax considerations, financial processes and implementation planning. Help develop financial models, operating budgets and investor reporting frameworks. Support financial due diligence and assessment of potential investment opportunities. Help establish processes for fund accounting, capital calls, distributions and reporting as applicable to the eventual structure. Coordinate with external fund service providers as required.

Prior AIF or fund finance experience is an advantage; strong ownership of the core group finance function is essential.
- Systems, Controls and Finance Automation
- Review existing accounting workflows and strengthen approval controls, reconciliations and documentation. Improve the use of Tally and relevant accounting, reporting and ERP tools. Work with the technology team to reduce repetitive manual work through practical automation. Establish reliable reporting processes and clear audit trails. Introduce appropriate controls for vendor onboarding, payments, expense claims and access to financial systems. Support adoption of improved processes through training and clear operating procedures.
- Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor and review the work of the accounting and finance team. Assess team capability and recommend additional hiring where required. Define responsibilities, deadlines and review mechanisms for each team member. Coordinate effectively with external CAs, auditors, tax advisers, company secretaries and other specialists. Build a finance function that delivers accurate work on time and supports business decisions.
