Salary: As per experience, technical skills, knowledge, and suitability.

1. Job Purpose To independently manage the company's complete IT infrastructure, including Linux and Windows servers, server backup and recovery, network administration, firewall security, LAN/WAN, hardware, CCTV, EPABX, and structured cabling, ensuring secure and uninterrupted IT operations.

2. Key Job Responsibilities

A. Server Administration & Operations

- Install, configure, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Handle Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Debian, or Red Hat-based systems, wherever applicable.
- Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, shared folders, and access controls.
- Monitor server health, CPU, RAM, storage, disk space, system logs, and performance.
- Perform server updates, patch management, software installation, and routine maintenance.
- Troubleshoot server boot failures, service issues, connectivity problems, and storage-related errors.
- Maintain server configuration documentation and coordinate hardware repairs or upgrades.

B. Server Backup, Data Protection & Recovery

- Configure, schedule, monitor, and maintain regular server and business-data backups.
- Manage backup and recovery for Windows and Linux servers.
- Work with backup solutions such as Veeam, Acronis, Windows Server Backup, Rsync, Bacula, or other relevant tools.
- Manage full, incremental, and differential backups, as supported by the backup solution.
- Handle backup storage, external drives, NAS, network storage, and cloud backup where applicable.
- Perform backup verification, restoration testing, and data recovery during system failures.
- Maintain backup logs, retention policies, recovery documentation,



and disaster recovery procedures.
- Identify backup failures and take corrective action to ensure data availability.

C. Network Administration & Firewall Security

- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, VLANs, and access points.
- Manage firewalls, security rules, VPN connectivity, and access policies.
- Troubleshoot TCP/IP, IP addressing, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, routing, and internet connectivity.
- Monitor network performance and maintain IP registers and network diagrams.

D. Hardware & Technical Support

- Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripherals.
- Handle Windows OS installation, drivers, antivirus, MS Office, email, and software-related issues.
- Diagnose hardware failures and replace faulty RAM, SSD/HDD, power supplies, and other components.
- Provide on-site and remote support using AnyDesk or similar tools.

E. CCTV, EPABX & Structured Cabling

- Maintain and troubleshoot CCTV/IP cameras, DVR/NVR systems, recording, and remote viewing.
- Configure and troubleshoot EPABX systems, telephone extensions, and internal communication.
- Perform LAN cabling, RJ45 crimping, cable testing, termination, labeling, and structured cabling.
- Maintain network racks, patch panels, cable management, and connectivity documentation.

F. IT Security, Assets & Vendor Coordination

- Maintain antivirus, endpoint security, system updates, access controls, and basic server hardening.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, serial numbers, warranties, software licenses, and handover records.
- Coordinate with ISPs, server vendors, hardware suppliers, and external IT service providers.
- Maintain incident logs, preventive maintenance schedules, and technical reports.





3. Mandatory Technical Skills

- Practical knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration.
- Hands-on server backup, restoration, recovery, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of at least one professional backup solution or backup utility.
- Understanding of NAS, shared storage, external storage, and backup retention.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, user permissions, and file-server management.
- Robust LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, router, switch, and firewall troubleshooting skills.
- Practical knowledge of computer hardware, CCTV, EPABX, RJ45 crimping, and structured cabling.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems independently.

4. Qualification & Experience

- Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Networking, Hardware, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant hands-on IT infrastructure and technical support experience.
- Experience in managing both server operations and backup/recovery activities.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

5. Key Result Areas (KRAs) & KPIs

- Server availability, maintenance, and performance.
- Successful scheduled backups and periodic restoration tests.
- Timely troubleshooting of Linux, Windows Server, and hardware issues.
- Network uptime and effective firewall/security management.
- Timely resolution of employee IT support requests.
- Proper functioning of CCTV, EPABX, and network infrastructure.
- Accurate IT asset records, backup logs, and technical documentation.
- Preventive maintenance and minimum avoidable IT downtime.

6. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate must be a hands-on IT professional capable of independently managing Linux and Windows servers, server backup and recovery, network security, hardware troubleshooting, and complete office IT infrastructure.
