We are looking for an experienced Google Cloud Dataplex / Knowledge Catalog Specialist with hands-on expertise in data quality (DQ), data classification, metadata management, and data lineage. The candidate will be responsible for implementing data governance solutions, improving data discoverability, and ensuring data quality and compliance across enterprise data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and manage Google Cloud Dataplex and Knowledge Catalog solutions for enterprise data governance.

- Configure and maintain data quality rules, validations, and monitoring processes.

- Perform data classification, including identifying sensitive data and applying appropriate classification tags.

- Create and maintain data lineage to track data flow across sources, transformations, and target systems.

- Manage metadata, business glossaries, data assets, and technical metadata.

- Integrate governance capabilities with Google Cloud services such as BigQuery and Cloud Storage.

- Collaborate with data engineers, architects,



and business stakeholders to establish data governance standards.

- Troubleshoot data quality and metadata-related issues and ensure compliance with governance policies.

Mandatory Skills

- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Dataplex and/or Knowledge Catalog (formerly Data Catalog).

- Strong experience in data quality (DQ) implementation and monitoring.

- Experience in data classification, metadata tagging, and governance.

- Practical experience in data lineage creation and management.

- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially BigQuery and Cloud Storage.

- Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data privacy concepts.

Positive-to-Have Skills

- Experience with SQL and Python.

- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and compliance requirements.

- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration.

- Google Cloud certifications related to data engineering or cloud architecture.
