Key Responsibilities

1. Examine patients, take medical histories, and develop appropriate treatment plans.

2. Conduct pre-operative and post-operative assessments and patient follow-ups.

3. Perform or assist in surgical procedures according to qualifications and clinical privileges.

4. Manage emergency surgical cases and coordinate timely interventions.

5. Conduct ward rounds and maintain accurate patient records, case sheets, and discharge summaries.

6. Coordinate with Anaesthesia, ICU, Emergency, Nursing, and other clinical departments.

7. Ensure compliance with infection control, biomedical waste management, patient safety, and NABH standards.

8. Participate in clinical meetings, academic activities, teaching, and training of medical students and residents, as applicable.

9. Maintain ethical medical practices, patient confidentiality, and informed consent documentation.

10. Ensure proper documentation of procedures, complications, referrals, and clinical outcomes.

Educational Qualification

- Consultant: MS/DNB in General Surgery; recognized qualification and applicable registration.

- Senior Resident: MS/DNB in General Surgery, as applicable under NMC regulations.
