Role & Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced General Manager Civil Construction to lead and manage multiple civil infrastructure and industrial construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for overall project execution, planning, commercial control, resource management, quality, safety, billing, and timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee multiple civil construction projects in all over maharashtra, including roads, bridges, canals, dams, KT weirs, earthwork, drainage, pipelines, and industrial civil works.
- Plan, monitor, and control project schedules, budgets, resources, productivity, and overall execution.
- Lead Project Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, Billing Engineers, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
- Develop project execution strategies, manpower plans, machinery deployment schedules, and material procurement plans.
- Monitor project costs, cash flow, equipment utilization, labour productivity, and profitability.
- Review BOQs, estimates, rate analysis, project budgets, variation statements, extra item claims, and cost escalation proposals.
- Coordinate with clients, government departments, consultants, project management teams, and subcontractors.
- Handle RA bills, final bills, measurement books, reconciliation statements, work orders, and contractual documentation.
- Monitor tender-related technical and commercial requirements and support estimation, rate analysis, and bid preparation.
- Ensure compliance with drawings, technical specifications, contract conditions, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Identify project delays, contractual risks, site constraints, and cost overruns, and implement corrective measures.
- Review daily, weekly,



and monthly progress reports and ensure timely achievement of project milestones.
- Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of construction machinery, vehicles, equipment, and manpower.
- Establish effective reporting systems and ensure accountability across all project teams.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering; M.Tech or MBA in Project Management will be an advantage.
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in civil construction and infrastructure projects, including substantial project management experience.
- Proven experience in managing multiple projects and leading large site teams.
- Strong knowledge of roads, bridges, earthwork, canals, dams, drainage, pipelines, and industrial civil works.
- Experience in government contracts, PWD/other infrastructure projects, and private industrial projects will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of BOQ, DPR, RA bills, final billing, rate analysis, contract management, cost control, and project planning.
- Experience in handling heavy machinery, subcontractors, labour teams, and material procurement.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project or equivalent planning tools, and AutoCAD drawing review.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, decision-making, and problem solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work at project locations as required.
