GCP Data Engineer

Location: Remote (Across INDIA)

Experience within the UK Utilities or Energy sector is mandatory

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build and optimise scalable ELT pipelines to ingest and process data from multiple source systems.

- Develop robust data models aligned to business requirements and analytics use cases.

- Support cloud data platform migration initiatives and modernisation programmes.

- Curate, transform and manage enterprise datasets to ensure data quality and reliability.

- Partner with business stakeholders, analysts and engineering teams to deliver impactful data solutions.

- Continuously improve data products, pipelines and platform capabilities.

- Provide technical support and guidance to Data Analysts and wider project teams.

- Contribute to architectural decisions and cross-functional problem-solving activities.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Strong experience designing and implementing data warehouse solutions.

- Proven experience building ELT pipelines in cloud environments.

- Demonstrable experience delivering complex data migration programmes.

- Strong SQL and data modelling expertise.

- Experience with cloud data warehouses, particularly Google BigQuery.





- Experience with transformation frameworks such as dbt or Dataform.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Experience developing high-quality, maintainable and scalable code.

- Ability to optimise data pipelines for performance, reliability and scalability.

Desirable Skills & Experience

- Experience within the UK Utilities or Energy sector.

- Exposure to

- Python development experience.

- Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform preferred).
