Full-Time Consultant, Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Job Location: Maccure Hospital | Janakpuri, West Delhi, New Delhi 110058

Maccure Hospital is seeking a qualified, experienced and dedicated Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join our full-time clinical team at Janakpuri, New Delhi.

We are looking for a clinically competent, patient-focused professional who can independently manage obstetric and gynaecological patients, provide comprehensive maternity care and contribute to the growth and development of the department.

Position Details

- Designation: Consultant, Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Department: Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Location: Maccure Hospital, Janakpuri, New Delhi
- Employment Type: Full time
- Qualification: MD / MS / DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Experience: Preferably 3–5 years or more of relevant post-qualification clinical experience
- Remuneration: Competitive, based on qualifications, experience and clinical expertise

Key Responsibilities 1. Clinical & Obstetric Care

- Independently manage obstetric and gynaecological OPD consultations.
- Provide comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care.
- Manage normal and high-risk pregnancies, including obstetric emergencies.
- Independently conduct normal vaginal deliveries, instrumental deliveries where indicated and Caesarean sections.
- Manage labour room patients, including interpretation of CTG and fetal monitoring.
- Identify and manage maternal complications and coordinate multidisciplinary care when required.

2. Gynaecological Services

- Diagnose and manage routine and complex gynaecological conditions.
- Perform minor and major gynaecological procedures within credentialed clinical privileges.
- Provide preventive gynaecological care, family planning and reproductive health counselling.




- Manage inpatient admissions, treatment plans, postoperative care and follow-up.

3. Patient Care & Communication

- Ensure ethical, evidence-based and patient-centred clinical care.
- Provide clear counselling regarding diagnosis, treatment options, delivery planning and expected outcomes.
- Maintain continuity of care for OPD, IPD and maternity patients.
- Build patient confidence through compassionate communication and professional conduct.

4. Clinical Governance & Hospital Operations

- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation, consent and discharge summaries.
- Follow NABH standards, hospital SOPs, infection prevention protocols and patient safety practices.
- Participate in departmental clinical audits, case discussions, quality improvement activities and mortality/morbidity reviews.
- Coordinate effectively with paediatricians, neonatologists, anaesthesiologists, nursing teams and other specialists.
- Participate in emergency and on-call coverage as per mutually agreed duty arrangements.

5. Department Development

- Contribute to strengthening the hospital's maternity and gynaecology services.
- Support development of clinical protocols and patient care pathways.
- Participate in patient education initiatives, antenatal counselling sessions and community health awareness activities.
- Contribute towards patient satisfaction,



continuity of care and sustainable departmental growth.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
- MD / MS / DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from an NMC-recognised institution.
- Valid medical registration with Delhi Medical Council.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage deliveries, Caesarean sections and obstetric emergencies.
- Sound clinical decision-making and emergency management skills.
- Good interpersonal and counselling skills.
- Commitment to medical ethics, clinical quality and patient safety.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary hospital team.
