Role Description This is a full-time, in office Full Stack Engineer role based in Thiruvananthapuram.

The Full Stack

Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications across both front-end and back-end layers.

Responsibilities include collaborating with product owners, designers, and other engineers to define technical requirements, implementing responsive user interfaces, and building robust APIs and services. The role involves optimizing application performance, ensuring code quality through reviews and best practices, and integrating third-party services and databases as needed. The engineer will also participate in deployment activities, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools.

Job Title: Software Engineer

Experience : Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience in Java and J2EE development.

Job Summary

· Seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer (4+ years experience) with a hands-on in building and maintaining enterprise applications.

· Hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot and Spring MVC

· Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with backend services.

· Familiarity with building scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications following coding standards and best practices.

· Hands-on experience in coding, debugging, testing, and application support.





· Basic exposure to microservices architecture, cloud platforms and Containerized environments.

· Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices through Projects .

· Understanding of Agile/Scrum environments and ability of collaborate within cross-functional teams.

· Working knowledge of Hibernate/JPA and relational databases.

· Exposure to frontend technologies including HTML, Angular, GWT, CSS and JavaScript.

· Awareness of secure coding practices and application security fundamentals.

· Exposure to or interest in leveraging AI-assisted software development tools (eg: Github Copilot) to improve coding efficiency, troubleshooting, testing and technical learning.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

· Develop and maintain application features using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC .

· Assist in building RESTful API s and integrating backend services.

· Implement database interactions using Hibernate, JPA, and SQL .

· Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

· Contribute to application performance optimization and code quality improvements.

· Assist with the maintenance and enhancement of existing enterprise applications.

Microservices & Integration

· Build and maintain microservices-based architectures.

· Work with BRMS for implementing business rules where applicable.

· Ensure seamless communication between distributed services.

Frontend Development

· Develop responsive user interfaces using Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS .

· Work with senior developers to implement UI enhancements and new features.

· Participate in improving user experience and accessibility compliance.

· Support maintenance of legacy web technologies where required.

Cloud, DevOps & Platform

· Follow established CI/CD deployment processes.





· Support application deployments on cloud and container platforms such as Azure and OpenShift .

· Work within Linux/Unix development environments.

· Utilize Git for source code management and version control.

Database & Persistence

Create and maintain SQL queries and database objects.

· Assist in troubleshooting database-related issues.

· Support data integrity and performance optimization efforts.

Security & Compliance

Follow secure coding practices across applications.

Ensure compliance with AODA accessibility standards and enterprise guidelines.

Testing & Quality Assurance

· Write and maintain unit and integration tests using Junit.

· Ensure high code quality through testing, code reviews, and static analysis tools.

· Participate in defect resolution and performance tuning.

Tools & Collaboration

· Track tasks and progress using JIRA.

· Actively participate in Agile/Scrum practices , including sprint planning and other ceremonies.

Scripting & Monitoring

· Analyze logs and troubleshoot issues using monitoring tools.

· Assist with production support activities under guidance from senior team members.

· Support automation efforts through scripting and process improvements.

Nice to Have

· Exposure to enterprise integration patterns and middleware.

· Prior experience in large-scale enterprise or government systems.

· Understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API gateways , ESB platforms .

· Work with OAuth 2.0 authentication and authorization mechanisms.

· Implement and manage PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) including digital certificates.

· Handle SSL/TLS configuration and certificate-based authentication (mTLS).

· Use RSA encryption for secure data transmission.

· Ensure secure coding practices and remediate vulnerabilities identified by tools like IRIS .
