Headpeace is an AI-powered mental wellness companion that helps people feel calmer, anytime, without judgment. Our users reach out when they’re anxious or overwhelmed, so every bug we fix and every feature we ship matters to someone in a real moment.

The Role The entire Headpeace product runs on code, and you will own it. You’ll maintain what exists, fix bugs the same day users report them, and ship new features every week. This is not a corporate developer role. There are no tickets passed between five teams. You’ll touch the frontend, backend, database, deployments, and website daily, and you’ll work directly with the founder.

What You’ll Do

- Ship new product features weekly, from idea to production
- Triage and fix user-reported bugs the same day
- Build and maintain the website, including pages, careers, landing pages, and content updates
- Design and manage our Supabase/PostgreSQL schema, migrations, and row-level security policies
- Write and maintain Edge Functions for backend logic, AI integrations, and automations
- Maintain internal tools, admin dashboards, and workflows that keep the business running smoothly
- Own deployments, monitoring, and performance on Vercel
- Use AI coding tools and build agents to multiply your output and automate repetitive engineering work
- Keep user data private and secure, since this is mental health data

Must-Have Skills

- React and TypeScript: you write clean, typed components without being asked




- Tailwind CSS: you can build a pixel-perfect, responsive UI from a description alone
- Supabase, PostgreSQL, and Edge Functions: you understand RLS deeply and write SQL yourself, not copied from Stack Overflow
- Git and Vercel: shipping to production feels routine, and you’re comfortable with preview deployments, env variables, and rollbacks
- AI-assisted development (“vibe coding”): you use tools like Codex, Claude, or Cursor daily, and you review AI-generated code critically rather than trusting it blindly

Strong Advantages

- Experience building AI agents or LLM-powered features (prompting, tool use, streaming responses, evals)
- Experience with Codex or agentic coding workflows
- Auth, payments (Stripe), or email/notification systems
- SEO, analytics, and web performance (Core Web Vitals)
- Prior startup experience or shipped products you can show us
