Department: Food & Beverage Service

Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Assistant Restaurant Manager / F&B; Manager

Location: PGS Vedanta, Ernakulam, Kerala

Job Summary The Food & Beverage Service Captain is responsible for supervising daily restaurant service operations, coordinating with service staff and kitchen personnel, and ensuring excellent guest satisfaction. The role involves maintaining service standards, managing table assignments, monitoring staff performance, and ensuring compliance with hotel policies, hygiene standards, and service procedures.

Educational Qualification

- Minimum qualification: Plus Two or Diploma in Hotel Management / Hospitality Management.
- A degree or diploma in Hotel Management will be an added advantage.

Experience





- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Food & Beverage Service, preferably in a hotel or reputed restaurant.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
- Experience in a four-star hotel or equivalent hospitality establishment will be an advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies

- Excellent communication and guest-handling skills.
- Robust leadership, team coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good knowledge of restaurant service standards and hospitality etiquette.
- Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant billing procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods.
- Professional grooming, positive attitude, and attention to detail.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
