1. Job Summary

The Floor Manager is responsible for managing daily floor operations, supervising sales staff, monitoring customer service, achieving sales targets, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the store floor. The role requires robust leadership, communication, sales management, and problem-solving skills.
1. Key Responsibilities

A. Floor Operations Management

- Supervise and coordinate daily activities on the sales floor.
- Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, and discipline.
- Ensure employees are positioned in their assigned areas during working hours.
- Monitor staff breaks and ensure adequate floor coverage.
- Ensure products are properly displayed, labelled, and arranged.
- Report operational issues to the Store Manager.

B. Sales & Target Achievement

- Ensure the team achieves daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Monitor individual and team sales performance.
- Motivate staff to improve sales and customer conversion.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling beauty and salon products.
- Review sales reports and take corrective action when performance is below expectations.
- Support the team in achieving promotional and brand-specific targets.
- Track slow-moving products and coordinate with the Store Manager to improve sales.

C. Staff Supervision & Team Management

- Allocate duties and responsibilities to sales staff.
- Conduct regular briefings to communicate targets, offers, and priorities.
- Guide employees on product knowledge and effective selling techniques.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback.
- Address minor staff issues and escalate serious concerns to the Store Manager.
- Coordinate with HR and management regarding staff performance and training needs.




- Ensure all staff follow company policies and operational procedures.

D. Customer Service Management

- Ensure customers receive professional and friendly service.
- Assist staff in handling difficult customer situations and complaints.
- Ensure customer queries are resolved promptly.
- Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Encourage repeat purchases and build strong customer relationships.
- Ensure promotional offers and discounts are communicated accurately.

E. Stock & Product Display

- Monitor product availability and shelf replenishment.
- Ensure products are arranged according to company guidelines.
- Coordinate with the stock and purchase departments regarding shortages.
- Monitor damaged, expired, or near-expiry products and report them to management.
- Support stock verification and inventory activities.
- Ensure proper implementation of brand displays and promotional materials.

F. Reporting & Coordination

- Prepare daily sales and floor-performance reports.
- Report target achievement, staff productivity, customer issues, and operational challenges.
- Coordinate with the Store Manager, Billing Team, Stock Team, and Accounts Department.
- Communicate management instructions to the sales team.
- Maintain proper records of staff performance and operational activities.

1. Qualifications & Skills

- Minimum qualification: Plus Two; a degree in any discipline is preferred.
- Previous experience in retail sales or floor supervision is preferred.
- Experience in cosmetics, beauty products, or salon supplies is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Good communication and customer-handling abilities.
- Knowledge of sales targets, retail operations,



and inventory management.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Excel or sales reporting systems.
- Ability to motivate a team and work under sales pressure.

1. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

The Floor Manager's performance will be evaluated based on:
- Achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Individual and team sales productivity.
- Customer satisfaction and complaint resolution.
- Staff discipline, punctuality, and productivity.
- Product display, shelf maintenance, and stock availability.
- Cross-selling and upselling performance.
- Accuracy and timely submission of reports.
- Compliance with company policies and operational procedures.
- Improvement in team performance and sales conversion.
- Effective coordination with other departments.

1. Authority & Responsibilities

- Allocate floor duties and staff responsibilities.
- Monitor staff performance and provide operational guidance.
- Recommend training and performance improvement measures.
- Escalate serious customer complaints, staff issues, stock discrepancies, and policy violations to the Store Manager.
- Implement sales and operational instructions issued by management.

1. Performance Expectations

The Floor Manager is expected to take responsibility for the smooth functioning of the sales floor, motivate employees to achieve targets, maintain customer service standards, and ensure compliance with company policies. Any performance gaps must be addressed through timely corrective action and follow-up with the Store Manager. Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
