Fleet Manager - Agri Procurement An agri-business sourcing and processing for domestic brands, with collection centres in over sixty villages
Harvest season is when the fleet either works or does not. Trucks have to reach collection centres on time, produce has to reach the processing plant before it spoils, and the same vehicles must then move finished goods out to brand warehouses. Right now the trips are planned on phone calls, hired vehicles cost more each season, and breakdowns on rural roads leave loads stranded. The Fleet Manager will bring this under control.
The business has partnered with Flexiple to hire this role. You will plan inbound and outbound trips, manage around forty owned trucks and the hired market vehicles that fill the peaks, run maintenance and driver rosters,
and track every trip on GPS. Location: Remote (India)
- 6 to 10 years in fleet or transport operations, ideally in agri, dairy or rural distribution
- Experience hiring market vehicles and negotiating seasonal rates
- Familiarity with GPS tracking and basic trip-costing
- Comfortable spending time at collection centres and on the road
- Marathi, Telugu or Hindi alongside English
