Position: Service Engineer

Job Purpose To install, commission, troubleshoot, maintain and service processing, filling and packaging machinery at customer locations while ensuring maximum machine uptime, customer satisfaction and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & Commissioning

· Execute installation and commissioning of processing, filling and packaging machinery at customer sites.

· Conduct machine trials and performance validation as per customer requirements.

· Ensure successful handover of machines to customers after commissioning.

Service & Maintenance

· Attend breakdown calls and provide timely technical solutions.

· Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance activities.

· Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and PLC-related issues.

· Replace defective components and ensure machine restoration within committed timelines.

Customer Support

· Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.

· Train operators and maintenance personnel on machine operation and maintenance.

· Explain machine functionality, SOPs and safety procedures to customers.

Documentation & Reporting

· Prepare service reports after every site visit.

· Maintain records of machine installations, breakdowns and service activities.





· Submit daily travel and service reports to the reporting manager.

· Update service history and customer feedback records.

Spare Parts & AMC Support

· Identify spare part requirements and recommend replacements.

· Coordinate with internal departments for spare parts dispatch.

· Support Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) activities and service agreements.

Continuous Improvement

· Provide technical feedback to design and production teams for product improvement.

· Assist in machine upgrades, retrofitting and process optimization projects.

· Support quality initiatives and customer satisfaction programs.

Required Qualifications

Education: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred. Candidates from other engineering stream but having experience in the same industry will be considered

Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in installation, commissioning and servicing of industrial machinery. Experience in Food Processing, Dairy Equipment, Beverage Equipment, Packaging Machinery, Filling Machines or Automation Equipment will be preferred.

Technical Skills

· Strong understanding of mechanical systems.

· Knowledge of electrical control panels and industrial wiring.

· Understanding of PLC, HMI and automation systems.

· Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

· Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals.

· Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices.





· Basic computer knowledge for report preparation and documentation.

Travel Requirement

Compensation

Salary: As per experience and technical competency.

Travel Allowance, Daily Allowance and Accommodation as per company policy.
