Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Factory Manager to oversee the complete operations of our potato chips manufacturing facility at Pedavegi, Eluru. The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, maintaining product quality, improving operational efficiency, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with food safety and factory standards.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in food processing, FMCG manufacturing, or snack food production, preferably in potato chips manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

- Production Management: Plan, execute, and monitor daily production to achieve monthly targets of 300 tons.
- Yield & Cost Control: Monitor potato yield, processing losses, seasoning consumption, packaging material usage, and overall manufacturing costs.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure consistent product quality, seasoning accuracy, hygiene, and compliance with food safety standards and customer specifications.
- Machine Maintenance: Coordinate preventive maintenance, minimize breakdowns, and ensure maximum equipment availability.
- Manpower Management: Manage production supervisors, operators, contract workers, and shift operations.
- Inventory Control: Monitor raw potatoes, packaging materials, seasoning, consumables, and finished goods.
- Food Safety & Hygiene: Implement GMP, 5S, HACCP principles, housekeeping, pest control, and safety practices.
- Performance Monitoring: Prepare daily production, yield, wastage, downtime, quality rejection, and cost reports.
- Continuous Improvement:



Identify bottlenecks and implement measures to improve productivity and reduce wastage.
- Customer Compliance: Ensure adherence to customer audits, quality requirements, and dispatch schedules.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / B.Tech in Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in food processing or FMCG.
- Prior experience managing a factory, production unit, or multiple production shifts.
- Solid understanding of production planning, yield management, preventive maintenance, and quality systems.
- Experience with potato chips, namkeen, extruded snacks, or similar products will be preferred.
- Good leadership, problem-solving, reporting, and team management skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Achievement of daily and monthly production targets.
- Potato yield and process loss control.
- Reduction in machine downtime and production wastage.
- Product quality, customer rejection, and seasoning compliance.
- Manufacturing cost and manpower productivity.
- Food safety, hygiene, and audit compliance.

Compensation

Salary: ₹8–15 LPA, negotiable based on experience and suitability.
