Core Responsibilities

- Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret structural plans, technical drawings, lofting data, and CAD layouts to understand dimensions, angles, and material specifications.

- Material Preparation: Measure, mark, cut, bend, roll, and shape raw marine-grade metals (such as structural steel, stainless steel, or aluminum) using plasma cutters, torches, saws, and presses.

- Fitting and Alignment: Position, clamp, and tack-weld structural plates, stiffeners, frames, and beams into sub-assemblies or large erection units with high dimensional accuracy.

- Welding and Joining: Perform structural welding (MIG, TIG, or arc welding) to permanently join components, ensuring the joints withstand immense hydrostatic and operational loads.

- Quality & Compliance Checks: Inspect work using gauges, tapes, and levels to verify alignment, and ensure all builds conform to international classification society standards (such as ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s Register, or IRS).

- Safety & Equipment Maintenance: Operate overhead cranes, hoists, and rigging safely, maintain hand and power tools, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay: ₹19,800.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
