Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. GeM Portal Management: Exclusively handle day-to-day activities on the GeM portal for BSL.

2. Product Listing: Upload and maintain product listings, specifications, photographs, pricing and relevant technical documents.

3. Tender Monitoring: Daily identification and tracking of relevant tenders, bids, reverse auctions and government procurement opportunities for electrical panels, distribution boxes, feeder pillars, cable trays and related products.

4. Bid Preparation: Prepare and submit bids, technical compliance documents, commercial offers and supporting certificates within prescribed deadlines.

5. Vendor Compliance: Maintain GeM registration, catalogue compliance, OEM authorisations, certifications, declarations and other required documents.

6. Order Management:



Monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, invoice submission, consignee acceptance and payment status.

7. Coordination: Coordinate with purchase, production, accounts, quality and dispatch teams to ensure timely execution of GeM orders.

8. Reporting: Maintain a daily tender tracker and submit weekly reports covering bids participated in, upcoming opportunities, orders received, pending actions and payment status.

9. Business Development: Identify opportunities to improve BSLs GeM visibility, product coverage and government business conversion.

Preferred candidate profile

Graduate in any discipline.

- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing the GeM portal.

- Practical experience in product listing, bid submission, technical and financial bid documentation, and order management.

- Knowledge of government procurement procedures, bid eligibility conditions, EMD, performance security and reverse auctions.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and online documentation.
