SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

- Five or more years relevant estimating experience construction, interior fitout, joinery, metalwork, cladding,

facade, electrical or signage.
- Accurate take-offs from 2D drawings and written specifications.
- Rate build-ups, and comparison of subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel. Tested at interview.
- A PDF measurement or take-off tool Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Cubit, CostX or comparable.
- High standard of written English. Able to write a explicit RFI, assumption note and escalation without rewriting.
- Demonstrated remote delivery to an overseas client team.
- Degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, architecture, or interior or industrial design; or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Preferred

- Pricing for an Australian, UK, US or Gulf client base.
- Signage, wayfinding, shopfitting or retail rollout work.
- Estimating inside a manufacturing company rather than a consultancy.
- Experience submitting priced work directly to a client, with the judgement that goes with it.
- RICS, AIQS or IIQS membership.
