OpenText ECM Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled OpenText ECM Developer with strong expertise across the OpenText Content Server ecosystem and associated modules to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise content management solutions. The role requires deep knowledge of Content Server architecture, reporting tools (WebReports/LiveReports), backend development (Stored Procedures/APIs), and SDLC practices, along with hands-on experience working as part of agile teams using tools like JIRA.

The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end development, support, and continuous improvement of ECM applications, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with business and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- experience in OpenText ECM / Content Server development
- Design, develop, and maintain OpenText ECM solutions using Content Server platform
- Develop and enhance Web Reports and Live Reports for reporting, automation, and integration use cases
- Build and maintain custom ECM components, APIs, and backend logic
- Work on Content Server customisation, configuration, and enhancements
- Perform data migration and integration activities with external systems




- Provide production support (L2/L3) including troubleshooting, incident resolution, and RCA
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for platform improvements and system stability
- Participate in Agile delivery processes using JIRA, including sprint planning and tracking
- Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, governance, and quality standards

? Technical Skills (Mandatory)

- Strong hands-on experience with OpenText Content Server and core modules including OTDS, Archive Center, Brava, Capture Center, and VRD integrations
- Deep expertise in Web Reports and Live Reports development for reporting, automation, data extraction, and bulk operations
- Proficient in SQL and Stored Procedures development, including data modelling, query optimisation, and performance tuning
- Experience in building and integrating OpenText REST APIs with enterprise and third-party systems (SAP, portals, external apps)
- Strong experience in data migration and ECM integrations, ensuring high data integrity and minimal disruption
- Hands-on knowledge of Content Server architecture, including object model, indexing, storage, search, and metadata (categories)
- Experience managing batch jobs and background processes such as Control-M, Bulk Capture, and workflow scheduling
- Proven experience working in Agile environments using JIRA for sprint planning, task tracking, and issue management
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, including development, testing, deployment, and production support
- Expertise in monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation of ECM systems in high-volume enterprise environments
