Embedded Hardware Engineer (3 TO 5 Years Experience)

Role Purpose: Design and develop electronic hardware for JK Exims railway product portfolio including Video Surveillance Systems, Fire & Smoke Detection, Coach Door Automation, and Train Condition Monitoring ensuring compliance with railway safety and industrial standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Circuit & PCB design (multilayer, controlled impedance, highspeed Ethernet, sensor interfacing).
- Power electronics: DC/DC converters, PoE controllers, surge protection for 72V/110V railway inputs.
- Sensor hardware: smoke/fire detectors, vibration/temperature/current sensors, door automation controllers.
- Compliance: EN50155, EN5012132, EN455452, IEC 61373, RDSO specifications.
- Hardware bringup, validation, EMI/EMC testing, vibration/shock/fire safety testing.
- Collaboration with firmware engineers for hardware/software codesign.
- Documentation: BOMs, schematics, certification files for RDSO approval.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in Altium Designer / KiCad / OrCAD.
- Proficient in Analog, Digital & Mixed Signal Circuit design.
- Robust background in highspeed PCB design, mixedsignal circuits, industrial power electronics.
- Knowledge of railway standards and ruggedization practices.
- Handson with lab equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, thermal camera, vibration rigs).
- Familiarity with EMI/EMC design practices and safety standards.




- Ability to work crossfunctionally with firmware, mechanical, and compliance teams.

Qualification

- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 35 years in hardware design & testing, preferably in industrial, automotive, telecom, or railway systems.
- Preferred: Exposure to safetycritical systems (fire & smoke detection, condition monitoring, video surveillance system, automation, motor control, TCMS).
