Industry: MEP Design Consulting / Building Services
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Draftsman with solid knowledge of electrical drafting for building services projects. The candidate should have hands-on experience in AutoCAD and preparation of electrical layouts, drawings and schematics.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical layouts, plans, sections and schematic drawings.
- Develop lighting, power distribution and electrical containment layouts.
- Prepare drawings for MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, cable trays and electrical equipment.
- Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) based on engineering designs.
- Coordinate electrical drawings with architectural, structural, HVAC and plumbing/PHE services.
- Prepare GFC/IFC drawings and incorporate design revisions.
- Review drawings for accuracy and maintain project documentation.
- Support Electrical Design Engineers with drafting and coordination activities.
- Follow project-specific drafting standards and client requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Electrical Drafting and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of MEP building services and electrical layouts.
- Understanding of lighting, power distribution, SLDs and cable tray layouts.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP/Electrical is an added advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Educational Qualification ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
Preferred Experience
- 3–5 years of relevant electrical drafting experience.
- Experience in MEP design consulting companies.
- Exposure to commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare or high-rise building projects.
- Knowledge of BIM coordination, Navisworks or international projects is an added advantage.
