About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and articulate Discord Community Manager to manage and grow our online community. The ideal candidate will have excellent written communication skills, a strong understanding of online communities, and the ability to engage with members, communicate updates, and maintain a positive and professional community environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys communicating with people, writing clear and engaging content, and building meaningful relationships within digital communities.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and moderate our Discord server, ensuring a welcoming, active, and well-organized community.
- Communicate announcements, product updates, events, and important information clearly and effectively.
- Write engaging messages, community posts, FAQs, guidelines, and other communication materials.
- Actively engage with community members, respond to queries, and facilitate meaningful discussions.
- Monitor community conversations, gather feedback, and share relevant insights with internal teams.
- Maintain community guidelines and address spam, inappropriate content, and conflicts professionally.
- Coordinate community activities, discussions, events, and engagement initiatives.
- Help build a consistent brand voice and ensure all community communications align with company standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve community engagement,

Requirements

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
- Comfortable communicating with diverse audiences in a clear, friendly, and professional manner.
- Familiarity with Discord, including channels, roles, permissions, moderation tools, and community management features.
- Ability to handle questions, feedback, and difficult conversations diplomatically.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple conversations and tasks.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.

Good to Have

- Previous experience managing a Discord server or online community.
- Experience in content writing, communications, social media management, or community operations.
- Familiarity with technology, AI, developer, or startup communities.
- Experience organizing online events, AMAs, community discussions, or engagement campaigns.
- Ability to analyze community engagement and suggest improvements.
