About Company :- Laxhar Evidence Labs Private Limited is a forensic science and digital investigation organization committed to scientific accuracy, digital evidence integrity, and justice through forensic expertise. We are looking for an experienced Digital Forensic Scientist to join our team and handle complex digital investigations.

Responsibilities

- Perform extraction, acquisition, preservation, and analysis of digital data from mobile phones, computers, laptops, servers, storage media, and cloud platforms.
- Conduct mobile forensic examinations, including data extraction, deleted data analysis, application artefact examination, call records, messages, media files, and timeline reconstruction, subject to device and tool capabilities.
- Perform computer and server forensic examinations, including file systems, user activity, browser history, email artefacts, system logs, deleted files, and other relevant digital evidence.
- Conduct cloud forensic investigations involving cloud-stored data, synchronised files, account artefacts, access logs, and other available digital evidence.
- Operate and work proficiently with FTK, Cellebrite UFED, and Oxygen Forensic Detective.
- Conduct forensic imaging and data acquisition using appropriate, forensically sound procedures.
- Verify data integrity using cryptographic hash values and maintain proper chain-of-custody documentation.
- Identify, correlate, and interpret relevant digital artefacts to reconstruct events and establish investigative timelines.
- Prepare comprehensive forensic examination reports detailing methodologies, findings, technical observations, limitations, and expert opinions.
- Maintain case records, examination documentation,



and evidence-handling procedures in accordance with laboratory SOPs and applicable quality standards.
- Assist in technical case reviews and provide forensic findings for legal proceedings, wherever required.
- Ensure confidentiality, impartiality, and scientific integrity throughout every stage of an investigation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- Master’s degree in Forensic Science, Digital Forensics, Cyber Forensics, Computer Science, or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in digital forensic examinations.
- Practical working experience with FTK, Cellebrite UFED, and Oxygen Forensic Detective.
- Demonstrated experience in data extraction and analysis from mobile phones, computers, servers, and cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of digital evidence acquisition, forensic imaging, hashing, file systems, operating systems, mobile application artefacts, and evidence preservation.
- Knowledge of forensic reporting, chain of custody, and evidence integrity.
- Excellent analytical, technical documentation, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive digital evidence professionally.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in court-oriented forensic reporting and technical case reviews.
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory practices and quality management systems.
- Familiarity with the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023, and other applicable Indian legal provisions.
- Experience handling complex cases involving multiple digital evidence sources.
