About the Role

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer who can take ownership of the infrastructure behind Kautilai .

You'll work closely with the engineering team to keep our production systems reliable, secure, observable, and cost-efficient as usage grows.

This isn't a role where you'll only maintain pipelines. You'll help make architectural decisions, improve deployments, investigate production issues, automate infrastructure, strengthen security, and build systems that can reliably support thousands of concurrent AI-driven interview workflows.

What You'll Work On

- Own and improve our GCP production infrastructure across development, staging, and production.
- Build and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines for frontend and backend services.
- Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Google Cloud Run .
- Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform / Infrastructure as Code .




- Operate and optimize systems including Cloud SQL/PostgreSQL, Redis, Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, and Google Cloud Storage .
- Build strong monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability across production services.
- Improve deployment reliability, rollback strategies, health checks, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Design secure infrastructure using proper IAM, secrets management, network controls, and DevSecOps practices .
- Diagnose infrastructure, networking, database, performance, and production reliability issues.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure costs as the platform scales.
- Automate repetitive operational work using Python, Bash, Go, or similar tooling .
- Help evolve our architecture as traffic, AI workloads, media processing, and interview concurrency increase.

What We're Looking For

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure.
- Strong experience working with Google Cloud Platform or deep experience with another major cloud provider and the ability to work extensively with GCP.
- Strong understanding of Docker and containerized production workloads .
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build,



GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code tool .
- Strong understanding of Linux, networking, DNS, HTTP/TLS, load balancing, and cloud networking .
- Experience operating production databases such as PostgreSQL .
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and production incident debugging.
- Valuable understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, backups, and access control.
- Ability to investigate problems independently and take ownership from diagnosis to resolution.

Nice to Have

- Experience with Kubernetes / GKE .
- Experience supporting systems involving real-time audio/video, WebSockets, AI/LLM APIs, STT/TTS, or high-concurrency workloads .
- Experience with AWS
- Familiarity with SOC 2 / ISO 27001 infrastructure and security requirements .
- Experience working in an early-stage startup where infrastructure evolves quickly.

We offer ₹25–40 LPA in annual compensation, along with ESOPs , reflecting the ownership and impact expected from this role.
