JD Backend Developer

Designation: Consultant/ Sr. Consultant

Job Location: Gurugram(Hybrid)

Shift Timing: 1:00PM IST – 10:00 PM IST

Experience: 5+ years

Job Responsibilities

- Work closely with client/end-users to understand the requirements and develop detailed problem statements / story points.
- Develop robust APIs to support responsive web applications.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to integrate front-end and back-end code.
- Manage and optimize scalable distributed systems in the cloud
- Optimize code and assets to ensure fast load times and smooth performance.
- Optimize backend performance through efficient API design, database/query optimization, caching, asynchronous processing, and scalable application design.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure smooth user experience.
- Develop automated tests to ensure business needs are met, and allow for regression testing

Must have:

- Positive knowledge and hands-on experience working using Agile Methodologies & ability to translate user / business requirements to technical requirements & help create User Stories for team members.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics. Relevant master’s degree or certifications is a plus




- Strong proficiency in at least one backend technology stack: Python with FastAPI/Flask, Node.js/TypeScript, or Java with Spring Boot, with hands-on experience in RESTful API development, microservices, SQL databases, and enterprise system integrations.
- Databricks Integration: Experience integrating backend applications/APIs with Databricks for data access, query execution, and analytics-driven application workflows.
- Strong understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Strong understanding of SQL, relational data modeling, query optimization, transactions, and database performance considerations.
- Version Control/DevOps: Valuable experience working with version control tools such as GIT/SVN etc, Manual deployment. Knowledge of application deployment using CI/CD, container registries, app services on cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and deploying/operating backend applications in cloud environments.

Nice to Have:

- Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data.
- Experience in DevOps to build CI/CD pipelines.
