The Deputy Manager – Quality is responsible for managing quality assurance and quality control activities across manufacturing operations, ensuring that products meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards. The role involves process control, defect prevention, continuous improvement, customer complaint handling, and team management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Management System (QMS)

- Implement and maintain the Quality Management System as per applicable ISO standards and customer requirements.

- Prepare, review, and update SOPs, work instructions, quality procedures, and records.

- Coordinate internal, external, certification, and customer quality audits.

1. Incoming Material Quality

- Ensure inspection and approval of incoming paper, printing inks, adhesives, and other packaging materials.

- Monitor supplier performance and coordinate corrective actions for material-related defects.

- Work with the procurement team to improve supplier quality.

1. In-Process Quality Control

- Monitor quality parameters during paper cup, bowl, lid, and other packaging production processes.

- Ensure compliance with product specifications, dimensions, GSM, printing quality, sealing, leak-proof performance, and visual appearance, as applicable.

- Reduce rejection, rework, process variation, and material wastage.

Food Safety and Hygiene

- Ensure compliance with applicable food-contact packaging requirements.

- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, contamination prevention, and controlled manufacturing conditions.

- Monitor compliance with relevant GMP and food safety practices.

1. Customer Complaint Management

- Investigate customer complaints and identify root causes.

- Prepare corrective and preventive action reports (CAPA).

- Ensure timely closure of complaints and prevent recurrence.

1. Audit and Compliance

- Coordinate customer, supplier, internal, and external audits.

- Close audit observations within agreed timelines.

- Maintain quality documentation, traceability records, and compliance reports.

1. Team Management

- Train employees on quality standards, inspection procedures, hygiene, and defect prevention.

- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Stores, Procurement, and R&D; teams.

1. Continuous Improvement

- Implement quality improvement projects using Kaizen, 5S, and Lean methodologies.

- Analyse quality data and prepare monthly performance reports.

- Drive improvements in customer satisfaction, process capability, and product reliability.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per year
