Summary – Senior Data Engineer (Ab Initio)

Experience Required

- 5+ years of experience in data warehousing, ETL development, BI systems, and data integration.
- Robust hands-on experience in Ab Initio (mandatory).
- Experience in banking data warehouse environments.
- Good knowledge about data modelling

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple source systems using AB Initio
- Build and maintain enterprise data warehouses, data marts, databases, and physical data models.
- Integrate data from multiple sources to support business reporting and analytics.
- Automate data pipelines and optimize high-volume data processing.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, validation, and alerting mechanisms.
- Prepare and provision data for analytics and data science applications.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform unit testing, system testing, UAT, and production deployments.




- Collaborate with data architects, business teams, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to data platform standards and best practices.

Mandatory Skills

- Ab Initio – Must-have
- ETL development and data integration.

- Experience handling complex, high-volume datasets.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related data field.
