Role Description The Data Center Engineer role at Vertiv Energy Systems, Inc. is a full-time hybrid position based in New Delhi, with some flexibility for work from home. This role is responsible for overseeing daily data center operations, including monitoring systems, managing capacity, and ensuring infrastructure uptime.

The Data Center

Engineer will perform hands-on work with cabling, racks, and other hardware, as well as coordinate maintenance, upgrades, and change management activities. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, providing in office and remote technical support, documenting incidents and resolutions,



and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve performance and reliability. The role also involves adhering to safety, security, and compliance standards while supporting continuous improvement of data center processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in data center operations and data center infrastructure management.
- Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting and technical support skills for hardware, network, and environmental systems.
- Candidates should possess practical cabling skills, including structured cabling, patch management, and rack organization.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with monitoring tools, incident management processes, and basic networking concepts.
- Relevant engineering or technical degree/diploma (e.g., Electrical, Electronics, IT, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, including on-site presence in Current Delhi and remote collaboration.
- Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills, with attention to detail and adherence to safety and security practices.
- Experience in mission-critical or data center environments is preferred; industry certifications (e.g., data center, networking, or infrastructure) are an advantage.
