Department: Kitchen – Indian Tandoor

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Commis I / Commis II – Indian Tandoor to support the kitchen team in preparing authentic Indian tandoori dishes. The candidate should have a good understanding of tandoor operations, Indian marinades, kebabs, breads, and food safety standards while maintaining consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation of Indian tandoori dishes, kebabs, tikka, and marinated meats and vegetables.
- Operate and maintain the tandoor safely and efficiently.
- Prepare marinades, spice mixes, chutneys, and other mise en place as per standard recipes.
- Ensure proper marination, portioning, seasoning, and presentation of all dishes.
- Maintain the required food quality, taste, and consistency during service.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and rotation of food items using FIFO procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the tandoor station, kitchen equipment, and work area.




- Minimize food wastage and maintain proper stock levels.
- Coordinate with senior chefs and other kitchen team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and complete assigned duties on time.

Position-Specific Expectations

Commis I

- Demonstrates basic to intermediate knowledge of tandoor preparation.
- Assists with mise en place, marination, bread preparation, and basic cooking tasks.
- Works under the supervision of senior chefs and follows standard recipes.

Commis II

- Demonstrates practical knowledge of tandoor operations and Indian tandoori preparations.
- Handles assigned preparation and cooking tasks with greater independence.
- Maintains consistency in food quality, portioning, presentation, and station cleanliness.

Work Environment: Fine-Dinning Restaurant Employment Type: Full time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
