RoamYoo is building a social-meets-marketplace travel platform that connects travelers with verified local hosts and authentic experiences across India.

From discovering destinations and booking local experiences to joining group trips, finding stays and transport, and connecting with trusted hosts, RoamYoo aims to make travel more personal, accessible, and community-driven.

Our vision is simple: Book a person, not just a place.

We are looking for a founding technical leader who can turn this vision into a real, working, production-ready product.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a hands-on technical co-founder who can operate as a one-person engineering powerhouse in the early stages.

You should be capable of taking a feature from a rough idea to a deployed, tested, and functioning product without needing a large engineering team or constant supervision.

You will own the complete technical lifecycle: product architecture, development, AI-assisted coding, integrations, databases, infrastructure, deployment, security, and production reliability.

We do not need someone who only manages developers, creates roadmaps, or talks about technology. We need someone who can personally build, ship, maintain, and continuously improve the product.

Key Responsibilities1. Build and Launch the Product

- Own the end-to-end technical development of RoamYoo, from MVP to production.
- Convert business requirements, user problems, and product ideas into functional features.
- Build and maintain frontend applications, backend services, APIs, databases, and admin tools.
- Develop marketplace capabilities such as user accounts, host profiles, experience listings, bookings, payments, reviews, notifications, and dashboards.
- Build responsive, mobile-first experiences and establish a practical roadmap for mobile applications.
- Ship usable features quickly without compromising essential quality, security, or maintainability.

1. Own the Entire Technical Stack

- Make sound architecture and technology decisions based on speed, cost, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
- Design secure APIs, database schemas, authentication, authorization, and third-party integrations.
- Integrate payment gateways, maps, messaging, analytics, AI services, and other external systems as required.
- Establish clear development standards, reusable components, and maintainable code.
- Avoid unnecessary complexity and overengineering during the early stages.

1. Master AI-Assisted and Agentic Development

- Use tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, VS Code, and GitHub Copilot effectively.
- Use AI coding agents to accelerate development, automate repetitive work, debug problems, and implement features.
- Break complex requirements into tasks that AI tools can execute reliably.
- Review and validate AI-generated code rather than blindly accepting it.
- Build automated workflows and AI-powered product features where they deliver real business value.





We value engineering judgment and shipped outcomes, not the number of AI tools you know.

1. Own Deployment, CI/CD, and Production

- Set up and maintain Git/GitHub workflows, branching, pull requests, and version control.
- Build CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment.
- Configure hosting, cloud infrastructure, environments, secrets, and database migrations.
- Implement automated tests, logging, error tracking, monitoring, backups, and rollback procedures.
- Diagnose production issues and resolve bugs independently.
- Ensure releases are repeatable, secure, and reliable rather than dependent on manual intervention.

1. Build for Trust, Security, and Scale

- Protect user accounts, personal information, payment flows, and business data.
- Implement appropriate access controls, validation, rate limiting, and secure secret management.
- Plan for marketplace growth, increasing traffic, transaction reliability, and operational complexity.
- Establish practical engineering documentation and disaster-recovery procedures.
- Make responsible decisions about technical debt and prioritize fixes based on actual risk.

1. Act as the Technical Owner

- Work directly with the founder to translate business priorities into engineering execution.
- Challenge impractical ideas, identify technical risks, and recommend better solutions.
- Estimate work realistically, communicate blockers early, and deliver agreed milestones.
- Take accountability for the systems you build and maintain.
- Eventually establish the engineering team, technical culture, and hiring standards as the company grows.

Must-Have Skills
- Strong practical software engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to build and ship full-stack applications independently.
- Experience with a modern frontend framework such as React or Next.js.
- Backend development using Node.js, Python, or another suitable production-ready stack.
- Database design and practical experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent systems.
- API development, authentication, authorization, and third-party integrations.
- Git/GitHub, code review, branching, and collaborative development workflows.
- CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or equivalent.
- Deployment experience with cloud platforms or contemporary hosting services.
- Testing, debugging, security fundamentals, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
- Practical experience using AI coding tools to accelerate real development work.
- Ability to evaluate trade-offs and make independent technical decisions.

You do not need to be an expert in every framework. You do need to be capable of selecting suitable tools, learning quickly, and delivering working systems.

Robust Advantages

- Experience founding, building, or leading the engineering of a startup.
- Previously launched products used by real customers.
- Marketplace, travel-tech, booking, payments, or SaaS experience.
- Experience with mobile development,



React Native, or Flutter.
- Experience building AI agents, RAG systems, or AI-enabled workflows.
- Docker, cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code, and database performance tuning.
- Experience with analytics, experimentation, observability, and product instrumentation.
- Open-source contributions or a robust portfolio of independent projects.

Equity-Based Founding Opportunity This is an equity-based founding role intended for someone who wants meaningful ownership and responsibility in building RoamYoo.

We want to be transparent about the arrangement:

- The equity percentage, vesting schedule, responsibilities, decision-making authority, and any cash compensation will be discussed explicitly before an agreement is signed.
- Equity is intended to align long-term contribution with the company's success; it should not be treated as a substitute for clearly defined expectations.
- The role requires sustained execution, product ownership, technical reliability, and commitment to the company's long-term development.
- Intellectual property ownership, confidentiality, founder departure, and equity vesting terms will be documented in an appropriate written agreement.
- We will evaluate candidates on demonstrated ability, ownership, commitment, and fit—not just years of experience or impressive titles.

Pay: ₹310,000.00 - ₹1,550,000.00 per year
