- Operate conventional lathe machines for turning, facing, boring, threading, and drilling operations.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Perform machining operations as per production plans and job specifications.
- Select and set suitable cutting tools, tool holders, and work-holding devices.
- Measure components using vernier calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and maintain the required surface finish.
- Conduct in-process quality checks and report any deviations to the supervisor.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and follow 5S practices.
- Follow safety procedures and use the prescribed PPE.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and report breakdowns to the maintenance team.
- Achieve daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain production records and minimize material wastage.
