Job Summary The Lead Civil & Structural Engineer is responsible for leading and managing Civil & Structural engineering activities for industrial projects in the FMCG, Chemical, and Oil & Gas sectors. The role involves technical leadership, engineering design, multidisciplinary coordination, client interaction, project execution, resource planning, quality assurance, and construction support throughout the project lifecycle, including Concept, FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

Lead Civil & Structural engineering activities for multiple projects.

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers, designers, and modelers.

Review and approve engineering calculations, design reports, specifications, and drawings.

Ensure compliance with client requirements, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards.

Resolve complex engineering and construction-related challenges.

Civil & Structural Engineering Design

Lead and review the design of:

RCC structures and industrial buildings

Structural steel buildings and structures

Equipment foundations

Machine foundations

Pipe racks and cable racks

Technological structures

Tanks and vessel foundations

Compressor and pump foundations

Substations and utility buildings

Warehouses and logistics facilities

Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB)

Retaining walls and underground structures

Roads, paving, and grading interfaces

Structural Analysis & Design

Review structural analysis and design using industry-standard software.

Ensure safe, economical, and constructible designs.

Verify design calculations, load assumptions, and structural stability requirements.





Perform design optimization to improve project cost and schedule performance.

Support seismic, wind, and dynamic design requirements.

Project Management & Planning

Manage discipline schedules, deliverables, and engineering progress.

Estimate engineering man-hours and resource requirements.

Monitor productivity and project performance.

Support proposal engineering and project cost estimation.

Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures.

Ensure timely delivery of quality engineering outputs.

Multidisciplinary Coordination

Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Architecture, PHE, HVAC, and Underground Engineering teams.

Participate in plot plan reviews, HAZOP reviews, model reviews, and interdisciplinary design reviews.

Client & Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary Civil & Structural engineering focal point for clients.

Coordinate with licensors, consultants, contractors, and vendors.

Ensure client satisfaction through effective project execution.

Construction & Site Support,Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning.Review technical queries, RFIs, and site modifications.

Participate in site visits, inspections, and constructability reviews.

Support field engineering and issue resolution.Review contractor drawings and construction documentation.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

Implement lessons learned and project quality objectives.

STAAD.Pro,ETABS,SAFE,SAP2000,AutoCAD,Navisworks,MS Office,Preferred,Revit Structure,Tekla Structures,Civil 3D,Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC),BIM 360,Primavera P6 / MS Project,Industry Experience,Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following sectors:FMCG Manufacturing Facilities,Food & Beverage Plants,Chemical & Specialty Chemical Plants,Oil & Gas Processing Facilities,Refineries

Petrochemical Complexes,LNG/LPG Facilities,Tank Farms and Terminals,Industrial Infrastructure Projects,Warehousing & Logistics Facilities
