Civil Designer (Land Development)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Civil Designer with experience in land development projects to join our agile team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology aspects of work with hands-on experience working on U.S.-based projects. The role involves designing and preparing complete civil plan sets, including grading, utilities, lot grading, and corridor modeling.
Responsibilities
- Develop grading designs, utility designs (Plan & Profiles), and lot grading plans for land development projects.
- Create and manage Corridor modeling using Civil 3D.
- Prepare comprehensive civil plan sets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to support project deliverables.
- Ensure designs meet local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct quality control checks to maintain design accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in civil design (Land Development domain).
- Strong proficiency in Civil 3D.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with Hydraflow, HydroCAD, and HEC-RAS for stormwater and drainage analysis.
- Understanding hydrology and hydraulic modeling.
- Prior experience working with multi-disciplinary teams.
