- PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

(Accountabilities associated with the job) Responsible for sourcing of MRO consumables through RFQ, understand the technical recommendations, negotiations with potential bidders, create POs and contracts, resolve queries from internal and external stakeholders, Spend analysis, Categorization, Category management, Catalogue making, identifying & implement Cost saving projects, DPO improvement, Monthly MIS submission

1. Sourcing of MRO Spares, Machine modifications, repair.

Receive PR with technical specifications/ scope of work and clarify technical recommendations

Find potential bidders

Float RFQ and get quotations

Initiate negotiation rounds – manual negotiation & E-auctions

Create commercial comparison sheet

Get sourcing recommendation approval as per DOA

Award POs

Follow up for GRIN and for payment to supplier

2. Preparation of Scheduling agreements/ contract / Catalogue

Spend analysis, categorization by category, make, brand, identify repeat buying items,

Find potential bidders – authorised dealers, OEM

Float RFQ and get quotations.

Technical recommendation from user/ trial sample approved.

Initiate negotiation rounds – manual negotiation & E-auctions

Create commercial comparison sheet

Get commercial approval as per DOA

Prepare Scheduling agreement/ contract / catalogue

Share the agreement/ contract / catalogue with relevant stakeholders

3. Cost Saving projects.

Project identification.

Get Specification/ Scope of work/ clarify technical requirement.

Form CFT

Supplier selections;

Initiate technical clarification discussion between supplier & user.

Arrange trials & approval from CFT.

Commercial negotiations, making comparison sheet & sourcing approvals

Track projects with supplier and users

Implementation of projects

4. Monthly MIS PPT to management

Create savings report, PR to PO TAT, TOD, DPO improvement.

Preparing PPT for Catalogue status, vendor consolidation.

5. Query resolution / coordination

Assist stakeholders (plant purchase team,



users etc.) for their daily issues, supplier related issues and SAP system related issues

Identify Process Improvement Projects.

- Tracking PR, RFQ, Quotations follow up, negotiation. Obtaining Sourcing approval as per DOA.
- Saving project tracking, category management & Catalogue management.
- Resolving daily supply chain issues, Supplier grievances.

- PR receipt with incomplete details like Specification/Scope of Work. It leads to delay in sourcing process.
- Identifying recent VA/VE Projects for cost savings. Arranging samples for trial & getting approval from production & ME for conducting trial.
- Sourcing of machine break down cases, production stoppages due stock out items, shorter timeline projects sourcing. It leads to escalations, many follow ups etc.
- Supplier consolidation, Brand consolidation & fixing Catalogues, maintaining VMI.
- Handling multiple stakeholders (Internal & External)
- Time management - Meetings, approvals, Reviews with sub-ordinates.
- Required to be updated about new products & technologies in market
- Exposure with top management

- Software – SAP, MS office tools – Excel, work, Power point.

9. Educational Qualifications

- 7 to 12 yrs of experience
- Minimum Qualification required: B.Tech.
- Qualifications preferred: same as above
