We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Carpet Designer with strong expertise in CorelDRAW to develop attractive, innovative, and commercially viable carpet and rug designs. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of carpet patterns, color combinations, motifs, repeat patterns, and design layouts, along with the ability to convert creative concepts into production-ready designs.

The candidate should be comfortable working on new design development, modifying existing patterns, and coordinating with the production team to ensure accurate execution of designs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create original carpet and rug designs using CorelDRAW.
- Develop traditional, contemporary, modern, geometric, floral, abstract, and customized patterns.
- Prepare detailed design layouts, motifs, borders, and repeat patterns.
- Work on color combinations, colorways, shading, and pattern placement according to market trends and customer requirements.
- Modify and customize existing designs based on buyer specifications and feedback.
- Prepare accurate, production-ready artwork and design files.
- Maintain an organized library of design files, patterns, motifs, and color variations.
- Coordinate with the sampling, production, and merchandising teams to ensure design accuracy.
- Develop new designs by researching market trends, customer preferences, and competitor collections.
- Meet design deadlines while maintaining quality, creativity, and attention to detail.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Strong working knowledge of CorelDRAW is mandatory.
- Previous experience in carpet, rug, textile, furnishing, or related surface-pattern design is preferred.
- Good understanding of carpet design layouts, repeat patterns, motifs, borders, and pattern proportions.
- Strong sense of color combinations,



contrast, balance, and visual aesthetics.
- Ability to create, edit, resize, recolor, and customize designs efficiently.
- Knowledge of vector artwork, layers, curves, nodes, and file preparation in CorelDRAW.
- Ability to understand design references, sketches, images, and customer briefs.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple design assignments and meet deadlines.
- A portfolio of previous design work is required.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

- 2 yrs to 5 yrs experience in carpet manufacturing, hand-tufted carpets, hand-knotted rugs, printed carpets, or other relevant carpet categories.
- Knowledge of carpet construction techniques and how design details translate into actual production.
- Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or other design software.
- Understanding of production limitations, pattern repeatability, and color matching.
- Experience working with domestic or international buyer requirements.
