Role Description The Career Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. In this position, the counselor will guide prospective and current students in selecting appropriate courses, planning career paths, and understanding opportunities in the IT and non-IT sectors.

Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one and group counseling sessions, assessing student interests and skills, and providing clear information about training programs and job prospects.



The role involves coordinating with trainers and placement teams to align student goals with course offerings, organizing career guidance workshops, and supporting learners with resume preparation and interview readiness. The counselor will also maintain accurate records of counseling sessions, follow up on student progress, and contribute to a supportive and inspiring learning environment.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust skills in Career Counseling and Student Counseling to support diverse learner needs.
- Candidates should possess skills in Career Development and Career Management to help learners plan and navigate their long-term qualified growth.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including active listening, clear articulation, and the ability to explain complex career options simply.
- Relevant experience in educational counseling, training institutes, or placement services is highly beneficial.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with IT roles, current technology trends, and the hiring practices of the IT industry is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with students, trainers, and placement teams are desirable.
- Proficiency in using basic office software and student management or CRM tools is beneficial.
